Rankeshwar, who co-leads the firm’s personal injury and personal planning and management team, has supported clients on highly-sensitive cases, many of which have attracted national media attention over the years.
His work in the past year has also included the creation and leadership of an ambitious CSR programme, FourCubed, which raised over £25,000 for 10 charities.
Rankeshwar said: “I am honoured to have been named Birmingham’s partner of the year, particularly as the judges recognised the shared leadership element to partnership which is at the centre of how we conduct business at Anthony Collins.
“However, I could not have picked up this accolade without the hard work of my immediate team and wider colleagues at Anthony Collins. We are passionate about working towards social justice and supporting some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We are humbled to have been recognised for that.”
The Birmingham Law Society’s Legal Awards 2012 were held at The ICC.
