Kate Jackson, a solicitor in Private Legal Services at the firm, was a runner-up in the Assistant Solicitor of the Year category at The Lawyer Awards.
She was recognised for her dedicated work with clients, as well as her commitment to charity and community causes.
Kate has developed a specialist practice in Court of Protection litigation to complement the long standing mental health work of the firm. She is regularly instructed in complex welfare matters and is recognised for her expertise in this emerging field. She supervises the Court of Protection litigation work at the firm, and public law work generally on behalf of individuals.
She was instrumental in setting up the Court of Protection users’ group in Birmingham to provide a forum for legal professionals who work in these sensitive areas of the law.
Kate Jackson said: “I was delighted to be nominated for the awards, so to finish third from a shortlist of eight is a real honour. I’m pleased the work that I do has been recognised, but I would not be where I am without the great team I have around me at Anthony Collins Solicitors and the passion we have for our work.”
