Anthony Collins Solicitors celebrates record revenues in 40th anniversary year

The firm’s latest financial results for 2013-14 show revenue growth of 7.2 per cent achieving a £14.5million turnover for the first time in the firm’s 40 year history, up from £13.5million in 2012-13.   Net profits increased to £3.3million in 2014, up from £2.3million in 2013, a significant 43% increase in profit.

ACS’s growth has been boosted by a programme of strategic investment in high quality people and new online communication systems that bring greater value to clients.

This year has seen the appointment of three new partners within ACS’s specialist housing and childcare services with Baljit Basra, Jas Tamber and Natalie Singh.

Other key promotions in ACS’s childcare, housing and corporate ligation teams were senior associate Sally Jones, and associates Alex Loxton and Alison Room.

These investments are now yielding benefits for the 25-strong partnership of 240 staff, explained senior partner Peter Hubbard (pictured).

He said: “This has been a landmark year of growth for ACS and we are greatly encouraged by these results.

“Our specialisation is key in order to provide our clients with a depth of great service which is delivered by committed and technically excellent people with a passion for transforming communities and people’s lives across the country.

“We certainly see challenges in the market including deregulation of the legal sector, the reduction to the legal aid budget and an increasingly competitive battle for talent.

“I am confident that our firm is very well placed to deal with change in the environment in which we operate and indeed flourish over the next few years.

“Our financial results are testament to the commitment of our people, which is second to none, and I am hugely grateful for their contributions.”

ACS’s confidence in the future is underlined by a string of outstanding achievements for clients across all its key sectors – health and social care, social enterprise, local government and regeneration, faith communities, housing, children and young people, and private client services.

Highlights include the recent landmark ruling in an international surrogacy case brought forward by ACS, which extends the time limit for applying for parental orders, and has far-reaching implications for all areas of child law.

Equally, ACS has been appointed by the Cabinet Office to advise on eight national pilot projects under the Mutuals Support Programme, exploring future options for the delivery of public services.
