Under the Home Loss Payments (Prescribed Amounts) (England) Regulations 2014, where something meets the qualifying conditions for a home loss payment, the new amounts will be:
- For those who are owners (including leaseholders), the amount will still be calculated as being 10% of the market value, but now subject to a minimum of £4,900 and a maximum payment of £49,000; and
- For all others (including tenants) £4,900.
The Regulations only apply to:
- Cases where the date of displacements is on or after 1st October 2014; and
- England only.
