Mediation is an increasing practice of using independent, third parties to resolve issues in divorces, without the need to go to court.
We were approached by the solicitor of Mr X to conduct mediation in the case of divorce for Mr and Mrs X to help them work through child and financial issues.
Elisabeth Howe and Maria Ramon co-mediated on all issues for the couple over four mediation sessions. Their impartial approach to the sessions enabled Mr and Mrs X to reach agreement in relation to their financial and property issues. By resolving the issues through mediation, the couple saved between 6 and 12 months and £3,000 to £5,000 compared with what they would have incurred pursuing matters through the courts.
