He is the second high-profile appointment the firm has made this financial year, after the announcement that Chris Whittington recently joined as Head of Education. This follows a very successful year for the ACS Funding Team as they have completed four capital markets transactions for housing associations in the last 12 months with an aggregate value in excess of £400 million.
Jon has extensive experience in funding and finance work, including bank, project, education, social housing, local government and property development finance. He previously worked at Pinsent Masons and Wragge & Co.
Jon is very experienced in advising housing associations on the funding of joint ventures and he has a strong track record in advising local enterprise partnerships and local authorities on funding structures and the funding of regeneration projects and housing delivery projects. He has also been the lead funding legal adviser on some of the most important PFI and PPP projects in the UK.
Natalie Singh, Partner at ACS commented: “It is fantastic to welcome Jon as a Partner in the Funding Team. To attract such a high-quality recruit demonstrates the growth in the strength of the team over the past few years. With his strong experience in advising housing associations and local authorities, Jon is a natural fit for the team at ACS. Jon’s recruitment reaffirms our ambition to be a leading funding team, advising housing associations and local authorities on their funding requirements.”
Jon said: “I’m really excited about working with the great teams at ACS. Natalie’s housing association funding team has a fantastic reputation and I’m looking forward to working with Natalie and the other teams in ACS in helping develop and grow the funding team and ACS generally.”
