Anne had been receiving treatment for an illness for several years but it only became clear in the last few weeks that she would not recover.
Anne joined ACS in 2009, bringing her expertise and experience as one of the leading housing stock transfer lawyers in the country. Over the next seven years we have been privileged to work alongside Anne on corporate and governance projects for many housing associations and local authorities up and down the country. Anne was also Chair of Longhurst Group, where she successfully transformed the housing association after leading their recent governance review.
Anne’s warmth and wit made her someone whom people instinctively trusted. Through her work, Anne won the lasting respect of many other lawyers, consultants and executive officers. The high esteem with which she was held was reflected in the strength and depth of Anne’s relationships with her colleagues as well as the many people across the housing sector over the years who counted Anne as a friend. We will miss her very deeply.
Above all, Anne was a kind and loving mother to her three sons and our thoughts are most of all with them and the rest of Anne’s family at this time.
Details of the funeral are available on request.
