My role

I am an associate in the local government team. I advise and support local authorities and local authority-owned companies.

My experience

I joined Anthony Collins Solicitors in May 2019, having previously worked in private practice and more recently as an in-house solicitor of a local authority-shared legal team.

I advise local authorities on matters of local government law, local authority and corporate governance, regulatory law, compliance, enforcement and investigations, and the development and implementation of regulatory policies and procedures. With colleagues from the wider Governance and Commercial department, I also advise on creating local authority owned companies and their governance arrangements. I have a certificate in company direction from the Institute of Directors, a level 3 Award in leadership and management from the Institute of Leadership and Management, and act as the company secretary to a London-based charity.
