Senior associate in the governance, funding and corporate team
Esther is a senior associate specialising in charity and education governance. She has over 13 years’ experience of advising charities, including unincorporated trusts, charitable companies limited by guarantee and charitable incorporated organisations.
Esther advises on restructuring, merging, collaboration, contracts, trust law and property law in a charity context. She liaises with the Charity Commission on all aspects of charity regulation, including registration, altering objects, serious incident reporting and trustee payments.
Esther also provides training to trustees on a variety of matters, including duties and responsibilities. She also advises schools and multi-academy trusts on governance matters, including academy conversions, mergers, transferring single-academy trusts into multi-academy trusts, updating Articles of Association and amending funding agreements.
