Advising on the latest care business acquisition, law firm, Anthony Collins supported Silver Birch Care (Holdings) Limited (SBCHL) on the acquisition of Northampton-based care provider Living Life UK Limited, operating as The Banyan Tree.
The acquisition, which was completed in July 2024, was led by the firm’s partner and head of corporate in the governance, funding and corporate team, Laura Jordan. Laura specialises in supporting all manner of corporate activities, including mergers and acquisitions for the health and social care sector.
The acquisition comes at a momentous time for SBCHL as it celebrates the ten-year anniversary of the acquisition of 16+ supported living service, Silver Birch Care.
SBCHL is a family-run care business providing high-quality education, care and support to children and young people for nearly 20 years. Experienced in the semi-independent and residential childcare sectors, SBCHL operates 60 homes across the UK and a specialist school in Peterborough. Additionally, SBCHL works in partnership with 37 local authorities and county councils and provides direct services to HM Government Home Office to achieve positive outcomes for young people, including empowering them to gain practical life skills for the future.
Living Life was founded in 2001 and is a leading provider of children’s services in Northampton. Specialising in therapeutic and trauma-informed practice, the care business offers residential services to children and young people and has a proven history of improving outcomes for complex needs.
